POSITION TITLE: Manager of Community Facility

REPORTS TO: Board of Management
ROLE PURPOSE:
The Manager will support and enable Samuel Beckett Community Facility
to play a lead role in the social, economic, and cultural development
of the local area. The successful candidate will be responsible for
the day to day operations/ overseeing Community Employment Staff/
Financial Controls and Building Maintenance.
THE ROLE:
_GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:_
* Work with the Board of Management to achieve the objectives of the
Samuel Beckett Community Facility.
* Market and actively promote the Centre to obtain new clients
increase awareness and footfall into the centre.
* Market and promote the Centre?s projects and services at every
appropriate opportunity, in order to advance the interests of the
Centre and ensure maximum uptake and positive impact for the local
community.
* Develop and sustain close working relationships with anchor
tenants, local partners and relevant statutory agencies and local
development organisations, particularly Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County
Council.
* Have excellent problem-solving abilities and have the ability to
resolve challenging situations in a calm, effective and timely manner.
* To attend and participate at staff meetings and other meetings as
requested
* Supervise, Support and liaise with Community Employment Staff and
Supervisor
* To represent the Samuel Beckett Community Facility, when
requested, at various meetings.
* To submit all paperwork within the specified time period
* Maintain oversight of the financial position of the SBCF and all
its operations, providing reports to management and funders etc. when
required.
* Undertake such additional duties as may be deemed necessary in
relation to the position
* To source and apply for relevant grants related to ongoing work,
in consultation with the board of management
* To work within the ethos and values of Samuel Beckett Community
Facility
* To attend training relevant to the position
* To work in collaboration with the existing team
* To carry out any other duties assigned by the Board of Management
THE HOLDER:
(QUALIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS)
_REQUIREMENTS:_
* A minimum of 3 years experience of working in administration/
accounts.
* Previous experience working in a community centre preferrable.

* Ability to work on own initiative
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Excellent organisational, time management & record keeping skills
* Excellent IT Skills

* Full Licence and own car an advantage
* Working hours may include night time and weekends
